**Position Overview**:
The Data Analyst is responsible to improve and maintain our data warehouse, reporting tools and user facing reports.
In this role, the Data Analyst will take responsibility for managing our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues.
The Data Analyst must have a very fine eye for detail, and have a deep understanding of modern data analysis tools and databases.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Build and own the analytics infrastructure, lead the development of data models and cloud data pipelines (Matillion, dbt, Sigma, Power BI)
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to build high quality data sets
- Collaborate with analysts to develop data models that help standardize analytics products
- Commission and decommission of data sets
- Provide technical leadership on data solutions that are forward looking
- Evaluate new tools, build prototypes and be an advocate for modern data solutions
- Process confidential data and information according to guidelines
- Ensure that the service delivery by the data team maintains and improves the customer experience and liaise with multiple departments to establish collaborative relationships
- Ensure information and reporting meets company requirements and maintain up-to-date documentation of all metadata and processes
- Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements
- Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization
- Assess tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems
- Generating reports from single or multiple systems
- Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports
- Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems
- Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing
- Establish best practices for data warehousing

**Qualifications**:
**Experience**:

- Equivalent experience or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science
- Work experience as a data analyst or data engineer in distribution and logistics or a related field
- Excellent SQL coding and experience with various analytical data platforms and technologies
- Experience with using REST API, Cloud (AWS and GCP)
- Experience with Snowflake data warehouse
- Experience with ETL platforms such as Fivetran, Matillion
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Sigma
- Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks
- Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
- Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
- High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
- Understanding of addressing and metadata standards
- High-level written and verbal communication skills

**Education**:

- Post-secondary education preferred or relevant experience
