**Job Summary**:
The Case Manager position operates within Hope Mission’s Breakout Recovery Community and aims to support and uplift participants who are working towards recovery from addiction. The program takes a holistic approach to addiction recovery, focusing on mental health, emotional & spiritual support, physical health and life-skills.

The Breakout Recovery Program is a 12-14 month, faith-based, Christian addiction recovery program. All program staff must be committed Christians.

The program is licensed by the Government of Alberta and independently accredited by CARF International.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Have regularly scheduled Case Management meetings with assigned participants. Record case notes on their ETO files, and send weekly reports of the case notes to the program manager.
- Work through The Genesis Process workbook with each participant assigned to your caseload. This must be done during case sessions. The goal is to complete the 10 processes with your man before he can graduate from the program.
- Case managers will have a caseload of 10-12 men.
- Leading a breakout community chapel
- Leading in-house 12 steps program and care meeting
- Report maintenance(work orders) issues to Facility
- Administer medication
- Daily room checks and do attendance for clients at the end of each shift and pass the number to transition dorm staff.
- Ability to use self-discovery questions and Genesis tools to motivate residents to move through stuck points.
- Ability to help clients identify and facing fears, using the support of God and others.
- Constructive conflict resolution skills.
- Record regular room checks, Urine Analysis and Breathalyzer testing of participants assigned to your caseload on ETO.
- Keep track and follow up on the recovery progress of each individual assigned to your caseload, including their medical and legal situation.
- Assist Program Facilitators in planning and facilitating all community events including major ones such as holiday’s meals, Brightwood Camp and the Spring Banquet.

**Minimum Qualifications and Skills**:

- Communication skills: case managers will have regular interactions with participants and will need to understand their needs and act as an advocate for them.
- Time-management and organizational skills: case managers will manage the cases of multiple participants. This comes with administrative demands and, at times, partnerships with outside agencies.
- Problem-solving skills: case managers need to think critically and clearly about each participant's needs and find solutions that suit them as an individual
- Basic biblical counseling: you will need to be able to present biblical teachings and principles as comprehensive diagnoses, and practical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or greater is preferred
- 2-5 years of working experience in similar field
- Familiar with the basics of biblical counselling
- Ability to learn, absorb and teach the Genesis Process curriculum (training to be provided)

**Other Requirements**:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
- Able to provide Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
- A letter of reference from a ministry or church is an asset
- Adherence Hope Mission’s Policies and Procedures.

**Salary**: $48,024.00-$55,332.00 per year
