**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Surrey LIP Project Manager oversees the research and knowledge sharing initiatives of the LIP. The Surrey LIP works with external consultants, partners and volunteers to conduct community-level research and consultation. Research purposes are identified by LIP members who guide the work from inception to completion. As the Manager of this team, you will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and sharing knowledge with the wider community to support the integration of newcomers, this will include content and creation of fact sheets, newsletters and development of other knowledge sharing materials. Your role will be instrumental in identifying gaps in our programs and services, developing new strategies and partnerships, and providing valuable insights to the Surrey LIP team and council members.

You will work closely with the Surrey LIP team to support outreach and engagement work. Duties will vary and include: planning meetings, liaising with the team and external consultants, engaging with relevant stakeholders including BC/Yukon LIPS, LIP Council, roundtable and committees, facilitating activities, collecting impact and evaluation results, managing budget expenses and slippage, participating in and representing the LIP on various community tables, speaking at conferences, conducting webinars and generally managing the overall work of the LIP, ensuring the deliverables of all contract requirement are met.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct research on immigration policies, programs, and services.
- Analyze data and create reports to identify trends and gaps in services.
- Design and implement knowledge mobilization tools such as community forums, workshops and training sessions, online database, community based participatory research partnerships.
- Share knowledge and insights with stakeholders, partners, and community members using the Surrey LIP website, Surrey LIP newsletter, factsheets, community calendar, social media platforms.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with key organizations and community leaders with diverse mandates such as settlement serving organizations, Indigenous Organizations, community serving organizations, faith-based groups, cultural groups, First Nations, all levels of government.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new initiatives and programs.
- Supervise Surrey LIP project staff, volunteers and consultants.
- Oversee all required Surrey LIP Council and Committee meetings, including but not limited to preparing meeting space, agendas, terms of References, minutes.
- Support the Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement Department and participate in departmental events as appropriate.
- Support the organization of the Community Stakeholder Forums and support Youth members in organizing Newcomer Youth Forums;
- Act as a liaison between working groups, advisory committees and the Surrey LIP Council to enhance synergy and collaboration among the respective action plans.
- Recruit and coordinate other Surrey LIP project staff and contractors.
- Liaise with organizations in major newcomer hubs to develop partnerships for outreach and marketing purposes and organizes outreach for promotional presentations.
- Work with the evaluation consultant to conduct evaluation utilizing the measures outlined and collects stories attesting to the project impact.
- Capture needs and trends of community through the administration, compiling and analyzing of surveys data.
- Coordinate relevant trainings and knowledge sharing events.
- Work with Surrey LIP Project Support to update the Surrey LIP website and services map.
- Research streams for further funding to develop grant proposals based on strategic needs.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager to fulfill all contractual related work including but not limited to budget management, preparation of monthly expense claims, financial and narrative reports, writing of annual LIP action plan.
- Minimum university or college diploma in Community Development, Community Based Research, Social Sciences, Social Policy, Non-profit Management or demonstrated related experience in the field.
- At least 2 years of experience in research, analysis, and knowledge sharing
- Minimum 2 years of experience supervising and developing staff and teams; supervision experience within a unionized environment preferred.
