**Assistant Project Manager, BUILDS project**:

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement capacity-building plans and strategies for small, racialized organizations.
- Recruit and supervise consultants
- Establish and maintain partnerships and collaborations with local settlement and non-settlement stakeholders.
- Engage with Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) to promote collaboration and information sharing within the sector.
- Work closely with settlement umbrella organizations and collaborative bodies within the sector to share resources and best practices.
- Facilitate establishing partnerships and networks between small, racialized organizations and settlement umbrella organizations/collaborative bodies within the sector.
- Support integrating small, racialized organizations into existing settlement networks and collaborative bodies within the sector.
- Participate in meetings and events organized by LIPs and other settlement umbrella organizations/collaborative bodies to promote collaboration and information sharing within the sector.
- Provide guidance and support to small, racialized organizations in reporting on grants and contributions funding.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops for small, racialized organizations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of capacity-building initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all capacity-building activities.
- Develop and manage budgets for capacity-building initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and consistency of messaging.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of best practices in capacity building.
- Develop and deliver presentations on capacity building to various stakeholders.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to promote capacity-building initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, community development, project management, business administration, business development).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in capacity building, project management, or related field.
- Experience and knowledge of IRCC funding processes and requirements, financial stewardship and reporting, and project management.
- Experience working with small, racialized organizations.
- Have a strong understanding of the challenges facing small, racialized organizations.
- Have a strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and other funding opportunities.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs and workshops.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of capacity-building initiatives.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in other languages would be an asset. Bilingual - English/French is a definite asset
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required, willing to work some evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Effective communication and public speaking skills;
- Strong computer literacy skills, in particular, in-house and Funder Client Management Systems, ZOOM, MS 365, MS Teams, and MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle an asset;
