**Opportunity**
- PCRS seeks an experienced Community Coordinator for the Foundry Surrey team. The coordinator is responsible for supporting relationships with community members including youth, families, and partners in developing and building Foundry Surrey. This person is a natural network-builder who sees potential in youth, community, and partnerships. They develop and enhance relationships with all staff, partners, and community. The Community Coordinator works closely with the Foundry Surrey manager to build and develop Foundry Surrey.

The coordinator brings leadership knowledge as well as a solid background in youth engagement and community development. The community coordinator develops and supports partnerships with community members including the Foundry BC. They will be supporting volunteers as well as creating presentations for the community and participating in community events.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and coordinate community engagement including working with youth, families, and community partners.
- Support, supervise youth and family engagement leadership tables.
- Create budget and manage marketing materials.
- Co-create and distribute bi
- monthly newsletter and weekly social media posts.
- Work with the manager to facilitate and partnership development with other local youth service providers.
- Provide advocacy and support to assist youth and their families to access information and support services.
- Represent Foundry Surrey at various events in the community.
- Create and prepare presentations for the community.
- Seek out and write RFPs and other funding sources to augment programming.
- Communicate regularly with partners and develop and maintain positive working relationships.
- Supervision and support of volunteers
- Liaison with Foundry BC and join Community of Practice within network.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences or related field plus two years of direct experience working with diverse youth. A combination of experience and education may be considered. Two years of related engagement/community experience. Understanding of youth and family engagement.

- Crisis intervention and de-escalation training
- Trauma-informed practice training
- Knowledge and experience working with databases and various platforms.
