Reporting to the Director of Employment Services, the Community Outreach Coordinator will work with the Marketing and Communications and Employment Services teams to develop wholistic and integrated outreach strategies and present innovative, effective ways to implement them. The Community Outreach Coordinator will be primarily responsible for connecting people, especially vulnerable groups in the broader community, by promoting and making Dixon Hall’s services visible and accessible to everyone. The Community Outreach Coordinator will actively seek opportunities to create partnerships and to cultivate relationships with community groups, businesses, individuals, and other relevant organizations and stakeholders.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Establish Outreach Strategies for Employment Services
- Develop wholistic and integrated outreach strategies and implementation plans for employment services
- Establish and maintain comprehensive classified and categorized outreach directory for community groups, agencies, public organizations, colleges, and stakeholders
- Reviews and analyze Employment Services data and meet with client groups to gain a deeper understanding of the needs and priorities of the community to develop outreach strategies
- Regularly visit community groups and agencies to identify trends, needs and opportunities and nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners
- Work closely with the Employment Services team and client groups to identify and develop
evidence based outreach messages by utilizing clients ‘ experiences and testimonials.

Partnership and Networking
- Assess and identify opportunities for joint events to be organized in partnership with community agencies, networks, public organizations and individuals
- Meet regularly with stakeholders to build partnerships and increase awareness on Dixon Hall’s work and successes
- Develop and manage internal/external corporate and local community events and actively participate in community networks, groups, and events.

Outreach Planning and Management
- Oversee and maintain an outreach activity calendar, including community events, workshops,
appearances, and other communication opportunities.
- Assist with the organization of special events, including job fairs, workshops, trainings, donor/volunteer appreciation events and other initiatives.
- Organize and oversee outreach events, exhibitions, and campaigns from conception through to completion.
- Assist and lead in the development and production of promotional materials, including PowerPoint presentations, brochures, handouts, flyers, media ads, information kits, reports and events aligned with Dixon Hall and funders’ guidelines.
- Provide timely and accurate information to support the Marketing and Communications team for the development, maintenance, and implementation of Dixon Hall’s social media activity
- Provide substantial input to the Marketing and Communications team on marketing and social media campaigns, including content creation, and engage with content in the form of e-newsletters, web pages, blog content, and social media messages
- Establish metrics and templates for accurate and timely reporting on outreach activities.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of outreach strategies

Organizational Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with teams across departments, Dixon Hall's Employment Services team, client groups, staff and volunteers, as needed, to gain deep understanding of the department's work and provide on-going guidance and support.
- Actively participate in department and agency meetings and events, including after business hours events.
- Work under the guidance of the agency and program policies and procedures, including the
- Mission, Vision and Values of Dixon Hall.
- Meet and report back regularly to the manager/supervisor to discuss individual, team and program
- effectiveness.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Completion of university degree or college diploma in Communications, Public Administration, Public Relations, or related field.
