**What you'll be doing**
You will be primarily responsible for growing and supporting our wire and cable business across all branches. You will manage assigned accounts and act as key contact for all activities with those accounts. You will be required to promptly address customer needs with regards to sourcing, pricing and availability of material from our preferred vendor partners.
**WIRE & CABLE QUOTATIONS**
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and new prospects.
Make proactive cold calls and follow up on sales leads.
Prepare quotations and follow up as necessary.
Provide pricing and availability to our customers while working with our preferred partners
Support Gerrie branch resources to grow their overall wire and cable business
From time to time, a customer site visit may be required
Ensure all information in the CRM is up to date.
Build a pipeline and database of prospects for the Wire and Cable business.
Remain current on changes to products or code changes and educate our sales resources to ensure we offer these to our customers and grow our business.
Provide suggestions on inventory levels and type of products to be stocked to enable Gerrie to grow our business and better support customers.
**COMMUNICATION/ CUSTOMER SERVICE**
Establish and maintain positive collaborative relationship with other Gerrie Leadership,
Managers and Departments to improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity.
Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Perform continuous evaluation, development and execution of policies and programs.
Establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with vendors and service providers.
**TEAMWORK/ COLLABORATION**
Work with other departments as required, conveying a professional corporate image that represents the values of Gerrie Electric.
**QUALITY**
Ensure employees understand and adhere to ISO policies and procedures.
**PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT**
Participate in conferences, seminars, and other educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintain and participate in professional networks to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Participates on committees and special projects as requested.
**What you bring to the table**
3+ years experience in the Electrical/Wire industry is required
Sales experience
Proven outbound calling experience
Post graduate diploma or relevant experience
Knowledge of electrical codes related to wire, cable and their installation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Computer skills and proficiency with MS Office
