Event Coordinator- Intermediate

We are searching for a new Event coordinator to organize, facilitate and execute hundreds of events ranging in size and complexity.
**The Right Applicant**:
- Has minimum 3 years’ experience coordinating a wide variety of events
- Has a driver's license and their own vehicle (a must)
- Is IT/computer savvy and well versed in Microsoft Excel
- Has prior experience working with Event Rentals and Event Rental Software (an asset but not required)
- Has the ability to multi-task and maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum; excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks properly
- Pays fanatical attention to detail, and has strong organizational skills
- Has the adaptability, know-how and common sense to rework a plan based on last minute changes
- Has a passion for logistics and all aspects of Event Operations and Planning
- Has prior experience in client facing positions and has excellent customer service ability
- Has creative vision and ability to turn around creative proposals in a timely manner
- Will thrive in a high stress, busy environment
- Has a university/college degree, certification in Hospitality, Event Marketing, or Event Planning (an asset but not required)
- **The Job Duties**:
- Work in an administrative capacity with lead Event Manger
- Create event budgets and proposals based on client requests
- Creative development of proposals and event products
- Communicate with, negotiate, secure and confirm event vendors and obtain/submit invoices for payment with accuracy
- Collect information pertinent to the success of the event (client contact, arrival instructions, etc.)
- Assist with booking event staff, monitor hours and submit event staff payables with accuracy
- Researching and Ordering Event Supplies
- Attend site inspections, create site plans, generate production schedules
- Arrange all logistics for event product deliveries
- Oversee packing/unpacking event supplies and maintenance of equipment
- Lead Manager for onsite events as required
- Liaison between clients, vendors, and staff
- Troubleshooting as needed
