Commercial Account Manager

**Job Function**:
As a Commercial Account Manager, you will be in a proactive, client relationship role at PACE's Commercial Unit. Working out of our Commercial Centre you will deliver customer centric and proactive service to commercial business members.
You will be a quick learner with 3-5 years of commercial banking experience building a commercial book of business, doing annual reviews, and working with the management on credit submissions.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the commercial accounts within your assigned portfolio. You will assess member needs and recommend lending products that both suit member objectives and meet established lending policies.
This is a mid-level role in which your experience with financial analysis, credit, and client acquisition will set you apart.
**_Key Responsibility Areas_**:
**A. **Business Development
- Grow the commercial business portfolio by adding on new business as well as by managing existing relationships.
- Build relationships with new and existing members and provide high quality member service
- Identify member needs and cross-sells and refers appropriate credit union products
- Assists in developing commercial business products that give us a competitive edge and assist in increasing our membership.
**B. **Commercial Lending
- Fully conversant with all commercial lending products, security, and underwriting practices. Manage an existing portfolio through the review of financial statements identifying trends, monitoring risk, and assessing for credit restructuring.
- Assesses member needs and recommends lending solutions by delivering excellent business and financial advice.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the existing commercial team and structure a member contact and growth initiative.
- Conducts due diligence for new commercial loans and develop recommendations for approval to Credit and/for further recommendation to credit committee

- Adheres to security procedures as they pertain to the position
- Actively participates in credit union meetings
- Participates in community activities that enhance the credit unions image
- Conducts site visits in accordance with company policy
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Education and experience: _
- Post-secondary undergraduate degree in a business or related discipline,
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in the commercial banking/financial services domain.
- A commitment to learning and development and a passion for customer service and business growth is required.
Core role competencies:
- Advanced member relationship, business development and COI networking skills
- Advanced understanding of commercial and agricultural lending processes, products, and services
- Expert level acumen in Office suite products and comfortable working on the move.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and remain highly organized
- Ability to adhere to professional, regulatory and industry standards
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and interdependently while being part of a team to ensure member needs are delivered in a seamless manner.
