Veterinary Assistant/receptionist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your main responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and ensure smooth operations at the front desk. This is a vital role in our veterinary practice, as you will be responsible for managing appointments, answering phone calls, and assisting with administrative tasks.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and address client inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Check-in patients and update their records in the system
- Collect payments for services rendered
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping
- Provide support to veterinary staff as needed
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures is a plus
Pay: $16.66-$19.89 per hour
