- **Job Summary**:_

The **Payroll and General Ledger Coordinator**is responsible for maintaining payroll processes and ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger. By implementing strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, the Payroll and General Ledger Coordinator will record financial l transactions, perform account reconciliations, and support the production of reports for the Controller. Additionally, they will collaborate with Human Resources to help maintain compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.

**Job Type**: Part-time (Monday, Tuesday)

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Process and input various journal entries into the accounting system SAGE300 including but not limited to changes to bank accounts, housekeeping and maintenance wage allocation, WSIB, month-end entries, parking, and credit card allocations;
- Perform daily/weekly employee timecard review to ensure correct data inputs and approvals;
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and security of sensitive information;
- Record and maintain new hire information in Time & Attendance and WFN system;
- Coordinate with HR regarding changes in payroll, such as new hires and terminations;
- Run bi-weekly Attractions Commission csv file for upload;
- Review and manually correct any input errors prior to payroll processing;
- Process bi-weekly payroll in ADP;
- Prepare Record of Employment for terminated employee(s);
- Handle special payroll situations, such as bonus pay, retroactive pay adjustments, and/or separation pay;
- Retrieve and download applicable payroll reports and upload G/L payroll entry to SAGE300;
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation;
- Reconcile WSIB obligation at end of each payroll cycle and prepare monthly summary for premium payment;
- Prepare various wage and benefit department allocation worksheets for posting to General Ledger;
- Extract and sort data for credit card parking to post to General Ledger;
- Prepare Holiday Pay schedule for upload to ADP;
- Reconcile bank and credit card (bank) accounts assigned by Controller
- Interact with department managers, employee and/or Payroll agencies when necessary; and
- Assist with additional tasks as required by the Controller.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail;
- Effective organizational and time management skills;
- Able to work independently and be self-motivated;
- Strong organizational abilities to delegate and complete tasks;
**Education**:

- Post secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required; and
- Accounting 3+ years is considered an asset.
