**Type of sales calls to be done**:

- Sales & Training Calls to Decorative Hardware/Plumbing showroom dealers, Trim/Lumber Yards, Locksmith distributors, Plumbing Distributors, Door Manufacturers/Retailers, Contract Hardware Houses
- Marketing and Training calls to Architects, Designers & Builders
- Participate in or present CEU and training seminars to specifiers in British Columbia
- Service calls (very rarely, but to high profile jobs that require further rep. input)

**Job description**:

- Execute our exclusive market strategy in BC with a primary focus on Metro Vancouver
- Use Salesforce as the primary platform to keep relationships up to date and to drive our sales & marketing efforts
- Manage, maintain & grow existing customer relationships within the assigned territory
- Facilitate & manage the development of new customer relationships via territory Sales & Marketing efforts
- Update showrooms throughout the territory with the latest displays of new products & eliminate discontinued items
- Leverage new & existing customer relationships to sell new product lines & offerings
- Leverage new & existing Architect and Designer relationships to promote new product lines & offerings
- On-demand service support to our customers in the assigned territory (in-person, telephone & electronic communications)
- Work the Swordfish booth and attend trade shows as a non-exhibiting vendor at relevant shows across the assigned territory
- Work with Swordfish head office to prepare and submit display, sample & literature orders for dealers in the assigned territory
- Travel to occasional meetings, trade shows and vendor factories in Canada and throughout USA
- Ability to travel up to ten days per month to customer locations throughout the assigned territory with overnight stays required 3-4 times per month
- Weekly & monthly reporting to Agency Stakeholders
- On-going communication and development with National Swordfish team
- Other duties as required

**Necessary qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 years sales and/or sales management experience
- Self motivated and willing to meet with the national team over weekly video conferencing
- Salesforce experience an asset, but not required
- High School Diploma
- Passport for international travel is essential
- Experience or expertise with door hardware or installation a major asset
- Experience with Interior Design, Building, and Architecture is an asset, but not required
- Highly motivated and energetic team player
- Strong organizational and analytical skills

**Special Conditions**:

- This role is based in Metro Vancouver Area at Swordfish Agency Headquarters and likely requires being in the field 50% of the time and in our Vancouver office setting 50% of the time.
- Assigned territory is BC and the expectation is this area is serviced as necessary with a major focus on Metro Vancouver and surrounding area.
- Reliable vehicle is required to perform work duties throughout the territory (mileage/travel expense allowance while on the road is provided).
- Mileage and travel expense allowance is considered part of the compensation package and Health/Dental/Vision benefits are fully covered by the employer, after a 3-month probationary period.
- Remuneration is by salary plus commission and bonuses are available for maintaining reasonable sales and active account targets.
