North Peace Housing Foundation (NPHF) is recruiting for a HR Professional who is passionate to create, implement, lead, and deliver human resource programs that align with the values and strategic direction of NPHF. Reporting to the Executive Director and working from the central operations office in Peace River, Alberta, the Manager of HR is responsible to oversee and perform activities related to policy, recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, performance evaluation, compensation, benefits, and wellness in accordance with the applicable legislation and organizational policies of NPHF.

Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.

5+ years of progressive experience in human resources performing generalist duties is required; supervisory experience is considered an asset.

Equivalencies in education and experience may be considered.

Holds or in the process of obtaining a professional designation as a Chartered Member with the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) of Alberta is considered an asset.

Proficient in interpreting Alberta employment related legislation: employment standards, occupational health & safety, workers compensation, freedom of information and protection of privacy, and human rights are required.

Demonstrated experience in leading HR best practices related to: recruitment and selection, job description review and analysis, training and development, performance appraisal and management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, conflict resolution, workplace wellness and safety, and workplace investigations.

Experience using Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Teams, Adobe, and HRIS software systems.

Experience maintaining a human resources budget is considered an asset.

Satisfactory background screening is required for this position including a Criminal Record with a Vulnerable Sector Check.

A valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.

NPHF provides a competitive compensation, group benefits and retirement program. Relocation assistance may be considered. Occasional travel to housing locations within the region may be required. **Salary**: $60,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
