PLATFORM MANAGER
A member of JANA’s Product Team, under the direction of the VP Product, and in heavy collaboration with JANA’s Whole Product Managers and Principals, JANA’s Platform Manager owns the definition, development, and maintenance of the software infrastructure underlying all of JANA’s Risk Products. JANA’s Platform Manager is a team leader within our Product group, directing the building of our underlying risk platform for Risk Management to help revolutionize the Gas Pipeline Integrity industry
**Responsibilities**:
- Owns the definition and development of the underlying infrastructure on which JANA’s risk products are built
- Works closely with senior stakeholders to define business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team
- Understands, Documents, and Defines the requirements for establishing a common structure to support all current and future JANA risk modelling needs
- Provides vision and direction to the development team and other stakeholders
- Provides review and oversight of new features proposals for each product to ensure alignment with the platform vision
- Collaborates with whole product managers and associate product managers to ensure user stories and detailed technical specifications are aligned across the products.
- Directs proof of concept exercises to test options for how to execute on the platform requirements
- Supports the planning and documentation of technical specifications for features and system design
- Directs the development team in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of the platform
- Works with process managers to understand impact of design decisions on delivery processes
Required Skills and Experience
- Undergraduate in Computer Science or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience as a professional software developer
- 3+ years in a leadership capacity
- Solid experience with System Architecture Design
- Working knowledge of risk modelling approaches
