Our team is made up of more than 420 staff, including expert counsellors and support workers who provide compassionate, client-centered care to youth experiencing homelessness, families and children impacted by trauma, victims of domestic violence, and other vulnerable people from an evidence-based, trauma-informed lens. About the Role

This permanent position reports to the Manager, Victim Services. The program provides specialized services to child and youth victims (female and male) of crimes, in particular abuse/assault (sexual and physical), adult survivors of childhood abuse (sexual and physical), and their non-offending family members.

**Salary**: GS11 Step 1 - $60,079.50 annual salary

What you bring:
**Education, Training, Experience**
- B.S.W. or relevant B.A. plus two years related work experience
- Experience and familiarity with the justice system and social services

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Knowledge of Provincial Policy on Violence Against Women in Relationships
- Knowledge of dynamics of violence in intimate relationships, sexual assault, criminal harassment and sexual/physical abuse in childhood
- Knowledge of Crime Victim Assistance Program
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and support skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team including in a Child Youth Advocacy Centre Multidisciplinary Team
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with justice system personnel and other victim service and community programs
- Understanding of paralegal or legal issues
- Understanding of cross-cultural and equity issues
- Computer skills

**Additional Requirements**
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination status will be required
- Possess valid BC driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
- Second language is an asset
