Administrative Assistant (Alluriarniq)
Full Time, Term end date March 30, 2025 with possibility of extension.
It is the mission of Tungasuvvingat Inuit (TI) to provide Inuit-specific programs that contribute to the health and wellbeing of Inuit, and to encourage and support similar programs for Inuit across the country. With over 30 years of highly successful experience in crafting the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of effective, client-centered services, TI continues to deliver quality programs and services that directly benefit our growing urban Inuit population.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Program Manager and program staff, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining accurate and organized program records. Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks to support the program's goals.
- Assist in organizing logistics for program outreach activities, counselling sessions, and events involving Elder guidance. This includes arranging transportation, scheduling venues, and ensuring necessary materials and supplies are available for outreach initiatives.
- Accurately enter program data, maintain up-to-date records, and assist with the preparation of regular reports. This involves tracking program activities, participant engagement, and other key metrics, as well as supporting the Program Manager in analyzing program outcomes.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications. Facilitate communication among program staff, participants, and partners. Assist in responding to inquiries, distributing program information, and liaising with stakeholders to support collaboration.
- Monitor and maintain office supplies, equipment, and program resources to ensure the program site is fully operational. Support cost-effective purchasing and inventory management, and contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for staff and program participants.
**Qualifications**:
Completion of Secondary School is required. Community College in Office Administration, SSW or CSW, Business Administration, Health Office Administration is preferred.
One plus years’ experience is preferred in Event Coordination or Logistics, Customer Services or Front Desk Experiences. Two plus years’ experience is required in Administrative or Office Support, Social Services or Community Work, Financial or Budget Management.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary is $50,159 annually
