As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the on-going troubleshooting and maintenance of renewable natural gas projects and will assist with management of the daily operations in order to maintain a high degree of efficiency within the plants. This position may also provide guidance to less experienced Plant Operators, technicians, or managers.

We are looking for a dynamic team-member with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. You will receive a substantial amount of on-the-job training. **Specific tasks will include**:

- Oversee commissioning and transition under-construction plants through commissioning to operating status.
- Monitor operation status of each operating facility on a daily basis.
- Initially may be required to manage operations including relationships with project partners, as required.
- Assist in optimizing and maximizing project production.
- Assist in hiring operations and support staff or contractors, as required.
- Develop, direct and coach a team of Plant Operators and Technicians to ensure safe, effective, and efficient operations at all times.
- Ensure that scheduled preventative and unscheduled maintenance are conducted appropriately in a timely manner and the work is documented in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure all maintenance is being conducted using best practices across all facilities.
- Review, issue and monitor new work order requests via CMMS. This responsibility may partially be downloaded to Regional Manager(s) when appropriate.
- Monitor and ensure CMMS program and other reporting systems are being followed by all plant operators and technicians.
- Communicate regularly with operations staff, and host facilities [MD1] to stay current with operational issues.
- Troubleshoot recurring or common issues.
- Advise on, source, and manage predictive maintenance solutions.
- Source and direct more intensive overhauls or repairs.
- Help setup and implement plant-level specific systems such as lock-out tag-out, Operation and Maintenance manuals, Emergency Response Plans, critical spare parts, computerized maintenance management software (CMMS), EH&S programs, or others, as required.
- Communicate operational lessons learned to BerQ’s Development and Construction departments.
- Review and direct changes to preventative maintenance program.
- Participate in Corporate Health and Safety meetings and training as required.
- Performs other duties, as required. This posting is a permanent full-time position, beginning as soon as possible.

**Basic Qualifications**
BerQ RNG requires that all applicants meet the following criteria:

- Recognized trades certification, like Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal or Industrial Electrician Red Seal.
- 10-15 years relevant working experience in the biogas, landfill, renewable natural gas, and/or natural gas industries.
- In-depth knowledge in equipment maintenance, landfill gas, digester gas or biogas system design and gas treatment.
- Working knowledge of Environmental and Health & Safety legislation, construction, and civil, environmental, mechanical, and electrical engineering principles.
- Ability to multi-task and stay focused on priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, including ability to coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, and influence others towards a course of action.
- Excellent organization and time management skills, including the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- High ability to work independently.
- Must be a strong team player who is able to collaborate with colleagues on complex assignments.
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada or the United States depending on the hiring location
- Flexibility to do what needs to be done with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude.
- Ability to travel to sites on an as needed basis

**Preferred Qualifications**
These qualifications are not required by BerQ RNG, but would be considered an asset:

- Operational experience with farm-based, municipal, or industrial digesters, landfill gas and/or RNG facilities.
- Experience setting up and using CMMS programs (Maintenance Connection).
- Knowledgeable in equipment troubleshooting and component failure analysis.
- Knowledgeable in RCA (root cause analysis), FMEA (failure mode effect analysis) and PM strategies.
- PLC programming experience
