**PURCHASER/DISPATCH COORDINATOR**

Due to growth within our company, **we are seeking a Purchaser/Dispatch Coordinator to join our Purchasing team in Hawkesville **(just outside of Waterloo).

This is a full-time position with 44 hours a week, and you would be required to work on-site at our Hawkesville location. Wage commensurate with experience. Benefits are provided after the 3-month probationary period.

Since 1991, Chervin has been **designing, manufacturing, and installing high-end custom cabinetry** in homes across Waterloo Region. Over the years, Chervin has expanded to serve the GTA and Muskoka region. Chervin has also built and acquired 4 sister companies which have given us the opportunity to be a key player in the markets for luxury hotel furniture, residential furniture, custom upholstered furniture, and home décor.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
This position will report to the Purchasing Manager.

**Purchasing - 70%**
- Maintain and update inventory records
- Data entry of purchase orders and Bill of Materials
- Order consumable and non-inventory items as experience allows
- Order custom materials and items as experience allows
- Responsible for the full purchasing cycle - from issuing purchase orders, tracking progress, and receiving the product
- Prioritize tasks according to urgency and importance
- Primary point of contact with vendors
- Seek new product and partner opportunities
- Negotiate contracts and large-volume purchases
- Help maintain an organized and tidy workspace to ensure smooth processes and enable your team to produce the best quality products
- Other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager

**Dispatch - 20%**
- Responsible for dispatching two drivers to do pick-ups and deliveries from internal suppliers within KW and the GTA for multiple locations
- Ensure the success of delivery for all products
- Collaborate with the Delivery Supervisor to maintain a safe fleet of vehicles and address any problems or requests

**Inventory Control - Shipping/Receiving - 10%**
- Act as a backup to support inventory control and shipping/receiving activities
- Accurately pre-pick, stage loads, and ship according to the provided pick list
- Receive incoming products, and assist with unloading as necessary
- Inform managers/supervisors of discrepancies from the picklist and inventory

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
- A post-secondary education/purchasing designation or equivalent experience is preferred
- High school diploma/GED minimum
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Outstanding negotiation skills -ability to negotiate the best cost and delivery terms
- Competent with computers and software
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic personality with eagerness to learn
- A keen attention to detail
- A self-motivated desire to produce valuable work
- A collaborative and creative nature

- A commitment to punctuality and dependability
- **BONUS**: Knowledge of furniture of manufacturing is an asset
