Volunteer Services Coordinator

**Position Type**: Full-time
**Schedule**: 40 hours per week (may include evenings and weekends)
**Reporting to**: Community Engagement and Volunteer Services Manager
**Location**: Edmonton
**Number of Positions to be Filled**: 1
Reporting to the Community Engagement and Volunteer Services Manager, the Volunteer Services Coordinator actively participates in the daily administrative and operational responsibilities of the department, which include: liaising and assessing volunteer needs with internal departments, recruiting and onboarding volunteers, coordinating placement of volunteers and follow up on volunteer experience.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- University Degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field would be an asset (i.e. Human Resources, Administration, Volunteer Management, Customer Service, etc.)
- Previous experience working with volunteers or working as a volunteer is a benefit
- Strong competency and experience using data management systems, software programs and MS Office
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced role that involves multi-tasking and managing a diverse workload
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and with multiple teams
- Excellent problem solving and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent administration, time management and organizational skills
- Previous experience working with a marginalized population, particularly the homeless is considered an asset
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Significant amount of people interaction, both with staff and volunteers, and a considerable amount of administrative work
- Moderate level of physical fitness is necessary; such as setting up volunteer booths
**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
