**Description**

Our client is seeking a procurement specialist who is experienced in agile project management to manage complex IT procurements, including multi-staged solicitation processes from end-to-end. The resource will develop, implement and lead strategic sourcing projects including conducting RFx and selecting vendors through evaluation plan/criteria and award recommendation. This requires providing details of resource requirements, dependencies, interdependencies, and policy implications pertaining to procurement and contracting methodology. Acting as a liaison between the project teams, vendors, and stakeholders, the resource will ensure terms are compliant with legal, regulatory, data security, and privacy requirements. This includes coordinating activities for financial estimates, business technical requirements, contracting options, evaluation process, vendor debriefings and contract negotiations.

This contract is Hybrid, in **Edmonton, AB.**

**Experience Required/Mandatory Skills**
- Minimum combined years of relevant education and experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role. Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates. (5 years)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- 3 years’ experience with business writing, communication and documentation.
- 1 year experience in public sector procurement processes including an understanding of trade agreements and competitive bid law.
- 5 years’ experience providing procurement specialist services including evaluation of responses, and management of RFP and procurement processes within within public sector or similar size environments.
- 5 years’ experience independently performing activities related to developing and releasing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Negotiated Requests for Proposals (NFRPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), negotiations, evaluation, supplier feedback, and contract execution.

**Nice To Have Skills**
- Knowledge and experience with Canadian contract law.
- Professional designation such as SCMP is considered an asset.
- Experience with Alberta Purchasing Connection, SAP Ariba or other procurement software is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience and understanding of SaaS, PaaS, software and hardware market, IT Services agreements, 3rd-party solutions providers and technology partners.
