**The Opportunity - Customer Service/Shipping Clerk**

**Responsibilities**
- Process and confirm customer’s orders, print all paperwork for said order
- Receive PO and check pricing and availability to confirm to the customer
- Prepare international paperwork - ex
- all final paperwork, B13 and DG paperwork
- Shop for freight rates (2-3 rates) for best deal if setting up carrier for customer’s
- Add any new information into the Master shipping document and/or BV E
- Prepare pick tickets for orders for the shippers and provide them
- Process order and enter into the Calendar all the information for the shippers
- Scan finished orders to Accounting team
- Setting up appointments if needed, for incoming freight
- Compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System - including but not limited to the following**:

- **Ensure that goods are stored and shipped using procedures, means of transportation that will reduce risks to the environment**.**:

- **Ensuring compliance with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and other compliance obligations as applicable.
- Ensure they are aware of all actual and potential health and safety hazards in their area of responsibility and that employees are advised of the existence of any potential or actual danger to their health or safety of which the supervisor is aware

**Qualifications**
- Strong organizational aptitude, detailed oriented and excellent time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Customer-oriented and self-motivated individual that is able to work in a team and have the ability to interface confidently with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft office suite including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Strong Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
- Proficiency in basic math
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 1 - 2 years of relevant experience an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
