**Edelman Canada **is looking for an Account Executive with 1-2 years of experience to join our Corporate Communications team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate an understanding of today’s news and media landscape.
- Contribute to communications plans and tactics for clients, including research, key messaging, audience and media analysis, timeline development, etc.
- Write first drafts of materials such as messaging, Q&A documents, media pitch notes, matte stories, news releases, or corporate marketing materials.
- Work closely with Edelman’s Data x Intelligence team to track and report reputation-impacting events and news coverage for clients
- Provide support for client issues and crisis management program requirements.
- Demonstrate a specific interest in the business landscape.
- Work closely in integrated teams throughout Canada to ensure quality when delivering public relations programs and campaigns.
- Effectively work within timeline and account budget parameters.
- Participate in new business process including research, audits and proposal development.
- Recognize impact of self on others; maintain strong internal/external relationships; support fellow team members.

**Qualifications**:

- A Bachelor’s degree (or better) in Communication or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 6-months to 1 year of related experience in internal/external communications, corporate communications and/or media relations.
- An understanding of the role of communication and PR agencies. Experience in agency considered an advantage.
- Experience working in a multi-project and multi-team environment.
- Appetite and appreciation for teamwork.
- Knowledge of the media landscape in Canada.
- Experience effectively executing many tactical assignments and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required.
- Creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
