**Work Arrangements**: Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (combination of working onsite and telework). Employees in this position who telework will be required to travel to the identified work site at least three times per week at their own expense.

**The Role**:
We are looking for a Project Management Coordinator to support our Health, Safety and Environment Branch. The Project Management Coordinator would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

NRC’s Health, Safety and Environment Branch (HSE) proactively establishes, promotes and implements best practices in health, safety and environmental management. The HSE Branch provides enabling and support services to NRC’s Research & Development activities, assuring the health and safety of our employees, our neighboring communities and our environment.

The Project Management Coordinator supports Project Management activities, develops and maintains project plans using SAP Project Systems (SAP-PS) and MS Project. In collaboration with Project Managers, they implement project plans, changes to those plans via the change management process, monitors project data quality, schedule, budget and resolves or reports any identified problems. They also generate complex reports for performance and financial management and must understand issues and propose solutions to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget. The incumbent provides recommendations for the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.

**Screening Criteria**:
**Education**:
College degree including project management courses.

A Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation by the Project Management Institute (PMI) **would be an asset but not required.**

An equivalent combination of work related experience and education including Project Management courses would also be considered.

**Experience**:

- Significant experience* in supporting project management (gathering information and updating project data, maintaining project forms, templates and tools, producing project reports, supporting 2 or more project managers concurrently).
- Significant experience* using MS Office tools such as Excel (including working with pivot tables), Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience creating and maintaining projects in SAP Project Systems (SAP-PS) and MS Project, **would be an asset but not required.**
- **Significant is defined as at least 2 to 6 years.**

- Solid knowledge of project management theory and practices.
- Knowledge of operational and financial management within a large organization preferably within a Canadian federal government context.
- Ability to read and interpret project and financial data.
- Ability to give presentations and provide coaching and training to colleagues in various aspects of project management.
- Ability to implement new processes, methods, or practices that significantly improve project management.
- Solid knowledge of MS Project for the development of Gantt Charts and monitoring project progress.
- Knowledge of SAP Project System
