**What You’ll Do**:
The Strategic Communications Directorate is seeking someone to join our management team, at the MGT/EX-01 level. Reporting to the Director General, the Director, Creative, Linguistic and Digital Communications Division (CLDCD) is accountable for providing a range of planning and support services for external and internal communications to internal Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) clients including the CEO and President, Vice-Presidents, Directors General, Directors and staff.

The role is responsible for planning, tracking and reporting of the rolling, strategic communications plan and priorities, along with detailed annual plan, ongoing updates to the Strategic Planning Framework’s commitments related to SCD responsibilities and associated metrics, following up to ensure that these planned activities are completed in a timely way, prescribing related communications research activities, supporting the CNSC’s outreach products, undertaking financial tracking and management of division resources, timely preparation and submission of mandatory reports and Parliamentary Questions, and ensuring that sufficient resources are available at all times to serve the CNSC’s needs for advertising planning and implementation, graphics, branding, displays, photography, promotional items, website and intranet look and feel and posting processes, and English and French editing.

**Within the Strategic Communications Directorate**: We provide strategic communications advice for all areas of the CNSC. We act as the CNSC’s point of contact for media, provide media monitoring and respond to general inquiries from the public. We manage the CNSC’s social media platforms (Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and YouTube) and the CNSC’s external website. We provide creative services including the design of graphics and videos and conducting advertising and marketing activities.

**Essential Criteria**

**Education**:
Graduation with a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations or a related and relevant discipline.

**Language Requirements**:
Bilingual imperative with proficiency at CBC level. If you are unsure of your proficiency level, we encourage you to self-assess here.

**Experience**:

- Experience in managing and providing communications services for at least two of the following areas: creative services, advertising, web communications, social media management, and translation/editing services.
- Experience in leading and implementing digital communications strategies and products (social media and online communications).
- Experience championing initiatives across a directorate and/or branch to fulfill organizational priorities.
- Experience in building and maintaining collaborative partnerships with a variety of
