**Position: Head of Airfreight - DGF Canada**
**Location**: Toronto, ON Preferred or Montreal, QC will be considered

Are you passionate about airfreight forwarding? Do you have a track record of successful leadership and a keen commercial focus? DGF Canada is looking for an experienced Head of Airfreight to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and strategic leader to drive the success of our airfreight division.
**IN THIS JOB YOU WILL**:
- Participate as a member of the Senior Management team for the Country Strategy
- Define, implement and execute the AFR strategy for Canada
- Managed and drive the performance of the AFR Product team
- Support the business on strategies to grow the product and increase market share
- Takes ownership of Air Freight P&L and works closely with Country finance teams to ensure budgets and forecasts are met
- Performs negotiation of key contracts with carriers
- Ensures optimization of network procurement and implementation of all consolidation opportunities
- Sets, communicates and follows KPIs to ensure constant improvement of capacity management
- Creates, develops and maintains good relationships with service providers, while facilitating negotiations of best rates at country level
- Partner closely with the Commercial team to ensure growth of the product in key sectors
**YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- In depth knowledge of forwarding business, with specific experience in Air Freight
- Strong communication and presentation skills,
- Strong understanding of the Market
- Excellent organizational ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical ability to assess and monitor data and prepare market and customer reports for the business
- Ideally post-secondary education and Management experience
