Operational Auditor

We are seeking an Operational Auditor to evaluate the operational controls of parking facilities in Western Canada, particularly in Vancouver, Kelowna, Victoria, and Calgary. This position will work with other departments to ensure the compliance of our procedures with client contracts, legislation, and good business practices. In this hands-on position, the Operational Auditor will perform on-site compliance audits checking for issues with cash handling, equipment, signage, safety hazards, and other lot conditions.

**What are the responsibilities?**
- Perform compliance audits on operational aspects including cash, company standards, and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with the audit team members to perform operational audit projects, engagements, and procedures in line with the operational audit plan.
- Develop the internal audit scope and draft audit programs to identify areas for improved control, cost savings, and operational efficiency.
- Identify new processes and procedures to enhance internal controls.
- Document and report all audit findings according to auditing standards.
- Conduct periodic follow-up reviews to evaluate the adequacy of management’s corrective action plans.
- Participate in department initiatives, team meetings, and prepare and conduct presentations on risk, internal controls, and audit as required.
- Stay informed of current business developments relevant to the parking industry and strategic business initiatives of Indigo.

**What are the working conditions?**
- Outdoor environments in open parking lots, garages, and parkades
- Driving throughout shift
- Travel within Western Canada required throughout BC and AB

**What are we looking for?**
- 1 years of experience with parking, inventory control, or quality verification experience
- 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service industry
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced level in MS Office, including Visio.
- Personal vehicle required for local travel (Up to 50% of time spent at different locations)

- Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset
- A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Quality Management, or similar
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
