The primary responsibilities of this role will be to provide comprehensive support within a complex healthcare environment by offering assistance and guidance in managing employee and labour relations matters. This includes addressing the unique challenges and intricacies associated with the healthcare environment. This role will focus on navigating and resolving issues related to employee and labour relations as well as being able to handle a range of complex situations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies while promoting a positive and harmonious work environment. Interpreting and advising on multiple collective agreements and relevant employment and legal documents. Developing and delivering training, performance management / development materials to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Supporting activities related to job classification and compensation. Assisting in recruitment and selection processes to ensure efficient and effective hiring. Providing support for attendance-related issues and facilitating the return-to-work process, including managing Duty to Accommodate obligations. Conducting research and providing support for special projects initiated by the Human Resources department. Participating in policy review and development of processes to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational objectives. Establishing and nurturing positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive public relations. The HR Client Partners play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and contributing to the overall success of the organization. This position is non - unionized.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of Baccalaureate degree in a related discipline or a recognized Human Resource Management Certificate. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Minimum three (3) to five (5) years generalist experience. Experience in a unionized environment is required. Please note: Travel is required and may include the use of a personal vehicle. A standard driver’s abstract may also be required for use of corporate lease vehicles.

Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation along with membership with Human Resources Institute of Alberta preferred. Ability to maintain composure under constant pressure and stress while maintaining a high level of involvement in confrontational situations while facing tight deadlines.
