Key Responsibilities:
1. Support Arborist Operations:

- Assist arborists in tree pruning, removal, and planting.
- Prepare work sites, ensuring that the area is safe and free of obstacles.

2. Equipment Handling:

- Operate and maintain tools and machinery such as chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and hand tools.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any issues to the supervisor.

3. Debris Management:

- Collect and dispose of tree limbs, branches, and other debris.
- Use wood chippers to process branches and manage mulch.

4. Safety Compliance:

- Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Help set up and maintain safety barriers and traffic control as needed.

5. Grounds Maintenance:

- Assist in the general maintenance of the landscape, including watering, fertilizing, and mulching as directed.
- Perform general cleanup tasks on the site, ensuring a tidy and hazard-free environment.

6. Customer Interaction:

- Communicate courteously with clients when on-site.
- Assist in addressing any immediate client concerns or questions and refer them to the supervisor as necessary.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in tree care, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of tree biology and proper tree care techniques is an advantage.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of tree care equipment.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license

Working Conditions:

- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and working at heights.
- Exposure to noise, and hazardous equipment.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Stamina to perform physical labor throughout the day.
- Agility to move around the site, and operate machinery safely.

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
