**Salary range**: $58,000-$69,000CAD/year
SkyAlyne is a proud partnership between Canadian aviation and defence leaders, CAE and KF Aerospace, formed to provide a truly Canadian solution for Canada’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program, Canada’s next-generation military aircrew training program.
SkyAlyne has been selected as contractor for the FAcT Program. The program will be managed from the National Capital Region (Ottawa), with three operational locations: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; Southport (Portage la Prairie), Manitoba; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The scope of the FAcT Program contract includes all training and in-service support requirements needed to prepare Pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers, and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators to meet the future aerospace requirements of the Royal Canadian Air Force. In collaboration with the Government of Canada and several major Canadian subcontractors, SkyAlyne will provide live-flying, simulator and classroom-based training, facilities construction and management, information management and information technology support, site support services, aircraft maintenance and much more.

**Job Overview**
The Indigenous Relations & Industrial and Technological Benefits Coordinator (IR/ ITB Coordinator) will assist with the coordination and reporting of various efforts to advance our engagement activities, and other activities associated with enhancing Indigenous Relations at SkyAlyne including the implementation of the Indigenous Participation Plan (IPP) for the FAcT program. The IR/ITB Coordinator will also support Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) initiatives for the FAcT program. Reporting into the Head of Indigenous Relations, this role will also be responsive to the Manager ITB and will work collaboratively with the FAcT program team and other key stakeholders including but not limited to subcontractors, Indigenous vendors, educational institutions, Indigenous Nations, and governmental agencies.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Identify, track, and monitor Indigenous issues, concerns, and needs through robust engagement recording and tracking.
- Research and prepare documents such as community profiles, support the drafting of regulatory or reporting materials to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
- Research and prepare documents to support annual ITB program updates to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada ISED.
- Review and prepare document summaries, identifying key information and discrepancies.
- Contribute to the organization of engagement activities, both internal and external, such as Indigenous Participation Circle meetings, meetings with Indigenous Advisory council, virtual meetings, community meetings and events, etc.
- Where relevant, provide support to review invoices, processing payments, tracking budgets, and compiling data for reports required in support of IPP/ITB execution.
- Analyze relevant data and program updates to draft reports as required.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholder and external parties such as Indigenous communities and organizations, post-secondary institutes, Indigenous businesses and SkyAlyne subcontractors.
- Assist with booth and promotional duties at various events, acting as SkyAlyne representative, where appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Indigenous studies or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Between 2- 3 years of experience in an Indigenous relations or similar role.
- Some understanding of federal, provincial (Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan), and local Indigenous rights, treaties, and regulatory processes.
- Ability to build trustful relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Tech savvy with an ability to learn and adapt to new software platforms.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Previous experience with Indigenous organizations, the Government of Canada, or the aviation/aerospace industry is an asset.
- Eligibility for a Protected “B” Government of Canada site/information access certification.
- Able to take initiative to begin projects and produce high-quality work quickly.
- Proficient facilitation skills and familiarity with learning tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Be able to hold a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Secret level).
