About the Role

Teranet is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technical Specialist to act as technical lead for day-to-day operations of the ServiceNow platform and to support the implementation of new features and enhancements. The ServiceNow Technical Specialist is responsible for system configuration of all ITSM functionalities, security administration, workflow design, integrations, reporting, dashboards, and tasks as assigned that enable ServiceNow to drive business alignment and maximize organizational and business performance. The role is also responsible for providing “Tier 1” support to organization and serving as primary point-of-contact for the ServiceNow Production Support team.

What You’ll Be Doing- Provide excellent ServiceNow user experience by acting as the primary point of contact to research, troubleshoot and resolve production and integration issues in a timely manner.- Support resolution of issues escalated; manage incidents, track ticket status.- Ensure high availibity and integrity of the system by monitoring, assessing, and reporting on ServiceNow health-check, system availability, and security audits. Monitor and report on ServiceNow license usage and compliance.- Work to ensure that the system is secure by managing user security, permissions within the system. Creating/updating user group and roles as required.- Improve business processes by creating, maintaining workflows and forms/catalogue items as defined in ServiceNow- Lead data integration efforts and develop new integrations involving 3rd party systems to automate data transfer between ServiceNow and other systems- Coordinate, lead, and implement ServiceNow releases (2 per year) by effectively collaborating with partners and stakeholders in various IT groups and vendors throughout the lifecycle of a release.- Lead continuous improvement roadmaps by collaborating with business partners to roll out new functionality and modules to promote business transformation.- Support the implementation of new ServiceNow workflows, forms and other user experience improvements.- Improve decision making as result of accurate and meaningful reports by creating custom reports and supporting end users’ issues with existing reports.

About You- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent with preferred concentration in ITSM systems and processes- Minimum of 3 years of practical ServiceNow administration experience, including: security, end user and instance management- Minimum of 3 years configuration and workflow development experience outlined above - including the support and development of integrations and workflows using ServiceNow tools such as Workflow Editor and Flow Designer- Experience with Service Portal management and design- ServiceNow System Administration certification is required- Prior experience in ServiceNow, leveraging scripted workflows, complex business rules, scripting, custom UI pages, ACLs, custom reporting, custom CMS/Employee Self Service Portals- Working experience in Dev Ops environments- Certification in Microsoft Azure is preferred- Experience with ServiceNow integration with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops- Working experience with ServiceNow Discovery module for on-premises and cloud environments- Experience in writing documents and executing requirements, design, development, and testing- Hands on experience of scripting languages primarily JavaScript or Python is preferred- Working knowledge of software development life cycle activities (i.e., requirements, analysis, design, construction, testing, and deployment)- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to work independently and perform against tight deadlines and multi-task effectively- Exc
