Here is what you will be doing:
The Lead, Cancer Screening Analytics works in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment to lead the delivery of high-quality analytics products for Ontario’s organized cancer screening programs.

Here is what you will need to be successful:
Key areas of responsibility include:

- Technical Leadership
- Project Management

Technical Leadership
- Responsible for the successful deliverables of the cancer screening analytics products, including reports, indicators, key findings, training materials and data requests.
- Lead the development and execution of analytical methodologies.
- Maintain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the cancer screening data, methodology and reporting requirements.
- Leads and collaborates with others in developing new tools/methods, processes, and related deliverables.
- Leads data quality assurance procedures to ensure the high quality of analytics.

Project Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality analytics products for Ontario’s organized cancer screening programs.
- Develop detailed project plans, identifying and sequencing activities and interdependencies to successfully execute milestones; adapt project plans to accommodate shifting priorities and timelines.
- Manage project issues and risks by taking early action to identify, track and resolve potential problems; escalate key issues and risks to the Team Lead and Manager as needed, proposing, and executing solutions to address challenges and mitigate risks.
- Effectively engage, consult, and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders (e.g., Clinical and Scientific Leads, scientists, members of leadership and staff, external partners) to understand best practices, issues, and needs.
- Provides on-going status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on projects to the Manager and Team Lead.

Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, health informatics or recognized equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years practical and related experience in health data analytics and reporting. Prior experience leading analytics projects in the health sector is strongly preferred.

Knowledge and Skills
- Advanced analytical skills with strong knowledge of reporting requirements, database management principles and data analysis techniques.
- Advanced SAS programing. Experience with SAS macro and SQL is required.
- Superior and demonstrated leadership, project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with demonstrated experience engaging and building relationships and consensus among diverse stakeholders; experience working directly with clinical experts and/or health care administrators preferred.
- Superior and demonstrated communication skills, including listening, written, verbal, and graphical communication skills, as well as the ability to convey complex concepts to stakeholders and deliver presentations effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated initiative and independence to take appropriate action and anticipate program needs.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong problem solving, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
- Highly productive and motivated; able to work on multiple initiatives and prioritize competing assignments to meet timelines.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a degree of ambiguity
- Team-oriented and passionate about organizational and team health, culture, values, and team development.
- Familiarity with cancer screening or cancer in Canada would be an asset.
- Familiarity with CIHI DAD and NACRS, OHIP and other healthcare datasets an asset.
