Bullet Trade Services is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in Guelph, Ontario. In this role, you will coordinate all shop operations and supervise a team of 2-3 employees. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience working with a skilled trades contractor and familiarity with millwrighting and other skilled trades. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with others, we encourage you to apply.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate all shop operations, including fabrication, inventory control, inspections, receiving, and shipping
- Supervise and train employees working in the shop
- Order supplies, tools, and rent equipment from vendors
- Supervise inventory processes and ensure commodities are in stock
- Ensure delivery of parts and supplies from vendors and to customers are completed accurately
- Participate in planning meetings with project managers
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure a fair price and high level of service
- Ensure vehicle fleet, welding equipment, lifting devices are maintained, inspected daily/weekly, and annually certified
- Report any maintenance issues
- Manage project management and job tracking
- Opportunities to take on more responsibilities over time
- Hours of work: 7:30am to 5pm - Monday to Friday
**Requirements**:
- At least 2 years of work experience with a skilled trades contractor
- Familiarity with millwrighting and other skilled trades
- "Get it done" attitude and ability to provide solutions to bespoke problems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively supervise employees and correct adverse issues
- Familiarity with MS Excel, Outlook, and Apple IOS
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
- G license and clean driving record
- Ability to consistently work safely and maintain a safe work environment
