About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at A & W. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the efficient operation of the restaurant, including managing staff, inventory, and supplies.
  • Cash Handling and Reporting: Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Performance Reviews and Development: Conduct regular performance reviews with staff to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and guidance to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, addressing any complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a team of 11-15 staff members, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for staff and customers.
  • Technology and Computer Skills: Utilize electronic cash registers, MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Windows to manage restaurant operations and communicate with staff and customers.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in electronic cash registers, MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Windows.
