**Payroll Technician**

**Your role as Payroll Technician**

Armanda, Manager, Payroll, the mission of the Payroll Technician is to contribute to a positive work experience to all of Dialogue's employees by ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all aspects of the payroll function.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Processing payroll in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with federal and provincial laws
- Preparing year-end tax forms for contractors (e.g., T4 and RL-1 slips)
- Coordinating with the HR department to ensure that contractor data in the pay system is updated at all times
- Contributing to the completion of month-end tasks, such as preparing monthly accruals and reports and following up on any discrepancies found relative to previous months
- Assisting in payroll and timesheet audit activities as required
- Providing administrative assistance to the accounting department

**We'd love to hear from you if you have**:

- Degree in Accounting or Administration or a related field
- 2+ years of payroll experience and a solid understanding of Canadian payroll practices and standards
- Ability to communicate information in a pragmatic way to various stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills, including great attention to detail
- Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification, an asset
- Bilingual in French & English, an asset
