St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting for a Part Time, Probationary Educational Assistant 4 (EA4) for a work assignment at Preschool.
More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values. As a precondition of employment, all potential new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (all recommended doses of a vaccine approved by Health Canada and recommended by Alberta Health Services). Exceptions will only be considered upon proof of a medical condition, or other protected ground under the Alberta Human Rights Act.
Hours of Work : 11.0 hrs. /week; 2.75 hrs. /day; Tuesday-Friday; Part Time, Probationary
- Note - this position is 4 mornings/week
Hourly Rate: $20.56 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
Start Date: Tuesday, August 29, 2023

Specific Needs/Requirements for this position:
Formal training from MacEwan University or equivalent preferred
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training is an asset
Experience working with children with diverse behavior needs an asset
Experience in the use of visual supports and/or PECS an asset
Experience working with children at the early childhood level an asset
Experience working within a team, collaborative environment an asset

Professional certificates, trade certificates, etc.
Courses, seminars, and specialized training
Experience related to the position
