St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting Part Time, Probationary, Educational Assistant 6 (EA6) for a work assignment at Ronald Harvey Elementary School.

More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values. As a precondition of employment, all potential new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (all recommended doses of a vaccine approved by Health Canada and recommended by Alberta Health Services). Exceptions will only be considered upon proof of a medical condition, or other protected ground under the Alberta Human Rights Act.

**Hours of Work**: 27.5 hrs/week; 5.5 hrs/day; Monday-Friday Part Time Probationary

**Hourly Rate**: $22.88 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement

**Start Date**: As soon as possible

**Deadline for Applications**: Monday, August 28, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.

**Specific Needs/Requirements for this position**:
This assignment will be working in the Behaviour Academic Support Classroom

**Qualifications & Experience**:
Experience following and implementing a Positive Behaviour Support Plan an asset

Formal Post-Secondary training is preferred

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training an asset

Course work in behaviour management and trauma informed practices an asset

Experience with providing social, emotional, and behavioral supports preferred.

Experience working with students at the elementary level an asset

Experience working with students with various, diverse, learning and behavioural needs including

Flexibility and independence in the work setting will be needed in this assignment

Experience working with a multidisciplinary team an asset
