**INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SUPPORT CLERK**

This position provides clerical and administrative support with the processing and filing of legal documents as assigned within the Intellectual Property department in the Toronto office.

Hours of work are from 9 am to 5 pm. Occasional pre-authorized overtime may be required to meet client needs. We are currently working on a hybrid model with employees splitting their time between our office at 333 Bay Street and their home office.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Assist with generating correspondence to clients, as needed.
- Save new correspondence from CIPO and mail to appropriate systems and distribute to appropriate professional and assistant.
- Administer filing for Intellectual Property department and close out files on a regular basis.
- Perform daily/monthly department credit card reconciliation.
- Assist with file openings, as required.
- Produce high quality and accurate work.
- Perform other clerical duties, as assigned.

**Required Knowledge and Experience**
- A high school diploma coupled with one to two years’ related work experience preferably in a professional services environment (an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable);
- Post-secondary education would be an asset.
- Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

**Supervision**

This position reports to the Manager, Legal Assistant Services.
