**Responsibilities**:
- Take care of all job posting and hiring (temporary and direct). For general labour positions, interview, make offers and introduce people to the Manager & Assistant Plant Manager. For other positions, coordinate interviews with Managers and help with the interview process;
- Help new employees complete the on-boarding process;
- Ensure that our cloud-based time clock system is accurate and being used to its full potential;
- Complete bi-weekly payroll entries, in coordination with the Finance Manager;
- Lead all communications/troubleshooting with HR-related service providers such as ADP, SelectPath etc.
- Take care of tracking vacation schedules / sick days and communicate with staff and management;
- Understand our existing benefit programs and answer any employee questions;
- Help design, improve/optimize the employee benefit programs;
- Resolve any concerns about pay / overtime / hours etc;
- Take care of any WSIB claims and communications between WSIB, Management and Employees;
- Take the lead role in coordinating our training programs (Qualification Trackers), following along with every employee to make sure they complete mandatory training, but also providing opportunities for growth;
- Understand each person’s role/job description within the company, but also understand we are a lean, flexible small business where people wear many hats. Help us optimize who does what, and provide insight as to how the company’s organizational structure can be improved to retain employees while increasing profitability;
- Act as the Health & Safety Management Representative (HSMR) as part of our Integrated Management System (IMS);
- Understand and take primary responsibility for all Health & Safety IMS Procedures & Forms;
- As part of training programs, ensure all employees understand all relevant Health & Safety procedures and how to use all relevant forms;
- Coordinate with the Compliance Manager to ensure legal compliance: monitor for any changes in legislation related to Employment Standards and legislation. Follow our management of change process to implement;
- Take care of disciplinary actions & documentation (with the respective Manager);
- Maintain employee records;
- Conduct employee surveys and provide reports to management;
- Be involved in reviews of Continuous Improvement Ideas & Incidents to make sure our employees feel heard, supported and that there is a spirit of fairness / teamwork;
- Collect HR Metrics (churn, diversity, satisfaction, incidents, discipline, awards/recognitions etc) and report to management;
- Take care of any terminations (with the respective Manager);
- Help manage promotions / compensation changes, making sure the company has properly documented the change in position and the employee has all the appropriate training and resources to succeed;
- Coordinate education seminars (and portal posts) for items related to company benefits, training, procedures etc.;
- Lead company-wide communications on awards/recognitions/achievements of our staff;

**Salary**: $85,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
