Accounting Logistics Assistant

The Accounting Logistics Assistant must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, flexible in the ability to manage last minute changes, work interruptions such as requests with time sensitivity. Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be organized and able to multi-task and perform each essential duty to the best of his/her abilities.
**Logistics Duties and Responsibilities**
- Negotiate and compare freight costs for import and export shipments
- Handle logistic documents including, PO, Invoices, Packing Slip, Bill of Lading, etc.
- Monitor shipment status on ongoing basis and update logistics tracker
- Follow up Custom clearance with broker for duties and tariffs
- Work in conjunction with Warehouse team and Finance to manage internal inventory
- Receiving all goods being delivered to the office or warehouse
- Schedule pickup and delivery of products with courier/logistics companies for delivery to Client sites or other specified locations.
- Assist with inventory tracking, entry and reconciliation
- Assist with RMA process
- Assist with sourcing and pricing of materials and equipment as required
- Office administration as require
**Accounting Duties and Responsibilities**
- Receive, validate, and enter all vendor payables
- Create Purchase Orders for vendors/ suppliers, subcontractors as required
- Create and send invoices under direction of CFO
- Ensure backup attached to payable and receivable documents
- Monitor AR aging, and follow up on outstanding A/R as directed
- Review, verify and process employee reimbursement expenses
- Assist with year-end financial closing
- Maintain Accounting and Administration filing system
- Assist with Project related post-mortem analysis
**Qualifications**
- Minimum2+years of experience of accounting/logistics experience
- Experience with accounting principles required
- Quickbooks or related account software required
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft office suite (word, excel, publisher, power point)
- Strong internet research abilities
**Salary**: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
