Burlington, Canada Bayview Crematorium & Cemetery Full time

**Answering phones/Front desk duties**
- Screening and transferring calls, greeting and directing clients to appropriate person
- Answering general questions
- Schedule pick ups and rushes from Funeral Homes
- Helping people with genealogy questions - searching archives for clients
- Calling funeral homes when problems with paperwork arise
- Deal with complaints and problems that arise

**Cremation paperwork**
- Check that all paperwork is in order and complete before cremation -including spelling of name, date of death and coroner’s signature, burial permit
- If they own property, check to see if urn and or other services are prepaid
- Process paperwork flawlessly assigning sequential owner number and cremation numbers, including billing Funeral Homes on a monthly basis
- Type all required forms to complete cremation including waybill, cremation box sticker, envelope and certificate of cremation
- Enter all data into SRS, posting cremations for payment

**Administrative Duties**
- Responsible for Petty Cash
- Process contracts
- Changing maps of sold property on a weekly basis
- Printing updated maps for service directors on a weekly basis
- Check commission calculations and entry in sales book
- Keeping map books up to date, making changes as property is sold
- Liaison with Funeral Homes for problems, special requests, payment
- Coordinate rushes and delivery of remains with crematorium
- Coordinate services for scatterings, interments, entombments and hold retorts
- Administer urn inventory, reporting monthly count to accounting and ordering products as necessary
- Pull Cremation Applications from archives to produce duplicate certificates
- Set up owner files for new purchases, making the required copies for the file, colour coding the files and filing away
- Producing Certificates of Entitlement for services purchased and Burial Rights Certificates for property purchased to mail to clients
- Taking payments for property over the phone or in person, producing receipts as required
- Keeping monthly statistics on sales
- Keeping cremation statistics on a monthly and year to date basis, by funeral home and by bodies received daily.
- Print all inventory maps on a monthly basis for accounting purposes
- Filing contracts by date, general filing
- Order markers and urns purchased by clients
- Fill out Requests for Service for installation of markers, vases, pictures, interment of remains with no family present, providing maps of location for guys
- Produce letter for the MOE on a quarterly basis with the emissions policy that guys review and sign
- Responsible for banking
- Other duties as required
