**Claims Supervisor, Casualty**
Gore Mutual Insurance is in the midst of an exciting journey as a modern mutual. We have taken a bold new approach to our great claims service; a new way of thinking about how we put our customers first. We are looking for a natural leader who understands the value of providing genuine, customer centric service, has solid experience negotiating and mitigating casualty claims and a track record of modeling coaching skills and maximizing team performance.

**What will you do?**
**Leadership**
- Lead a team of casualty claims handlers as they navigate options that contribute to solutions including coaching, mentoring, performance management and career development.
- Provide direction, guidance, training, and technical advice to aid in the development of adjusters and exceptional customer service.
- Attend Claims Leadership meetings & Committees.
- Identifies and addresses barriers to effective teamwork.
**Communication**
- Communicate department objectives and motivate team towards meeting standards.
- Identifies and analyses opportunities for innovation to foster business growth.
**What will you need to succeed?**
- Required minimum, 7 years of claims experience in injury lines
- Preferred minimum, 2 years' experience leading a casualty team.
- Preferred minimum, 2 years' prior leadership experience.
- University or College degree is an asset or equivalent experience.
- CIP/FCIP/CRM preferred or in progress.
- Proficient in Microsoft office products
- Strong analytical, organization and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Effective negotiation skills
Permanent, Full-Time - Job Grade 6
Hybrid: This is a hybrid role that includes the flexibility to work remotely. Please note, regular in-person workdays at our Cambridge Office location are expected once a week.
