**About Us**:
The mission of the Office of Faculty Relations is to maximize the University’s ability to achieve excellence in teaching, research and service by providing quality advice and support on employment matters in a manner that facilitates positive relationships with and among faculty, librarians, archivists, their representatives, university administrators, and the community.
**Responsibilities**:
The Faculty Relations Consultant (Labour Relations and Human Resources) will support Western's and the Office of Faculty Relations’ missions by providing expert, informed advice to academic and administrative leaders within the faculties on matters relating to the employment of faculty, librarians and archivists. Using highly evolved problem-solving skills, conflict management and negotiation skills, the role will facilitate the resolution of labour and employment issues with employees, leaders and unions/association representatives.
The role collaborates with leaders and partners to design and deliver programs, resources and tools that enhance leadership and administrative skill relating to faculty employment processes. The Consultant reviews and approves faculty actions and ensures efficient and effective business process in supporting the administration of, and compliance with, collective agreements and policy.
