**Job Summary**

**Main Responsibilities**

**Technical Leadership**

Contribute to solution designs by identifying the existing capabilities and sharing it with Solution / System Designers.
Provide guidance on required deployment tasks.
Estimate the overall solution costs (e.g. telecom, S&C, vendor, infrastructure, development, etc.) and share information with the Project Manager and stakeholders.
Create technical diagrams and find ways to improve them.
Work with Project Managers during the planning phases and identify skillsets and challenges applicable to deployments.
Deploy solutions based on the Service Catalog within domain(s) of expertise and feed the Architecture teams when solutions are not available.

**Technology Innovation Leadership**

Support and supervise change controls done by less experienced team members.
Lab-test new configurations and software. Feed manufacturers to fix issues.
Investigate incidents through root-cause analysis and propose solutions for remediation.
Lead activities to transfer new solutions to the Operational Support teams (T2C).
Develop strong partnerships with Solution / System Designers to provide feedback on deployment challenges/gaps.
Interact with vendors to address present and upcoming requirements.
Provide technical guidance to Solution and Systems Specialists.
Drive design decisions that span multiple teams.
Continuously assess technical issues and report challenges to Sr. Manager.
Provide expert advice to stakeholders.

**Skills Development and Sharing**

Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge in domains relevant his/her to responsibilities.
Define processes and mechanisms to establish structured system deployment and integration.
Provide learning sessions to team members and drive learning sessions done by others.
Collaborate with Expert Solution/System Designers / Integrators to develop new solutions and expose them to stakeholders.

**Requirements**:
**Education/Certification/Designation**

Bachelor degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent degree and experience

**Skills/Knowledge**

Proven experience delivering complex technology projects involving multiple parties.
Significant expertise in agile project delivery and methodologies.
Ability to clarify requirements and ensure solution meets business needs.
Demonstrated skills in influencing and convincing senior stakeholders.
Strong IT security knowledge and awareness.
Proven technical experience projects exceeding multiple millions.
Significant expertise with multiple technologies related to telecommunications networks.
Expert systems engineering skills and knowledge.
A foundation in software development.
Very strong influencing and presentation skills.
Excellent and proven leadership skills, both technical and people.
Ability to estimate efforts and costs required for delivery.
Team worker, strong communication skills.
Able to drive multiple projects in parallel.
Strong sense or prioritization for meeting deadlines.

Container technologies, virtualization, micro services, and cloud systems; and/or
High availability and disaster recovery technologies; and/or
Electronic control systems and their reliability; and/or

Data center technologies; and/or
IP based telecommunications switches and routers; and/or
Connectivity technologies (wired; wireless; mesh; cellular; satellite; etc.) ; and/or
MPLS networking concepts; and/or
Transport technologies (radio, microwave, satellite, etc.); and/or
Servers, storage, operating systems; and/or
Networking, firewall, and ADC technologies; and/or
Relational Databases and middleware systems; and/or
Other relevant infrastructure, network, systems management, security, or end-user technologies.

**Software Engineering**

**Experience**

Minimum 10-15 years overall work experience
Minimum 8 years experience in roles involving complex hardware/software systems and advanced telecommunications technologies.
Minimum 5 years demonstrating technical leadership qualities and/or overseeing deliverables

**Assets**

Agile coach certification; or
Agile scrum master certification; or
Kanban practitioner.
