**Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Solution and System Integration position in **Montreal, Quebec** for summer 2023 (May - August).**

Job Summary

Major Responsibilities
- Support telecom lab test plans through testing and document log results
- Support the creation of solutions and migration plans that mitigate operational risk based on blueprint and test results from the lab
- Support other integrators and work with them to address potential and current problems
- Provide support during project migration or deployment through root cause and impact analysis in the lab
- Support transition-to-core operations (e.g., update documentation, training plans)
- Support financial estimates on overall solution costs and share information with project managers and stakeholders
- Create technical diagrams and documentation for solutions and migration plans

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year of experience in detailed design and solution integration either in a professional or academic setting
- Knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) routing and switching technologies (Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) level)
- Knowledge of Cisco Nexus platform*
- Knowledge of Arista Spine and Leaf architectures*
- Knowledge of any common monitoring tools in telecom, SolarWinds, or Nagios
- Knowledge of automation in a telecom environment*
- Knowledge of automation frameworks, development environments and technologies related to networking (e.g., Python scripting, Ansible and Git)
- Knowledge of Agile methodology

Education
- Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
