Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Coordinator to join our team to provide Parent skill building, emotional support and feedback to clients. Supervised visits as requested.

Qualifications:

- A good working knowledge of families, its impacts and of relevant community resources.
- The ability to provide service in a respectful, empathetic and client-centered manner while maintaining appropriate confidential, personal and professional boundaries.
- The ability to work independently and in a self-directing manner as well as the ability to work in a cooperative and collaborative manner with Society staff and other community agencies.
- The ability to maintain necessary records and documentation, and to engage in the evaluation of the program and services.
- A valid BC Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle
- satisfactory criminal record check and RCMP check
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related human or social service field or field of early childhood education
- Two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Grade 12

**Duties**:

- Provides support, guidance and problem-solving to clients to address issues related to family functioning in an individual or group setting using techniques such as active listening, conflict resolution, basic group counselling techniques and psycho-educational group methods to resolve the identified problems, needs and risks.
- Participates in the development, modification and evaluation of client service plans with the integrated case management team. Participates in integrated case management meetings on a regular basis to report clients’ activities and progress.
- Outlines services provided by the program and/or organization. Provides information on and referral to other community service providers, resources and professionals as required
- Provides parenting skill building to clients on issues such as parent-child interaction, child development, discipline and guidance, and behaviour management
- Provides supervised visits for noncustodial parent on a referral received by the Ministry of Family and Child Development. Supervisor will be responsible to keep the child safe and support the parent/child relationship at the same time. Supervision will be based on the parenting plan provided by the MCFD social worker or court order.
- Plans and conducts group educational sessions on topics related to family functioning
- Liaisons with and/or promotes the interests of clients with other community service providers, professionals and school personnel as required.
- Maintains related records and statistics and provides reports to the supervisor.
- Other related duties as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.17-$33.49 per hour

Expected hours: 26 - 30 per week
