We are looking for a Research Council Officer to support the Human Factors research team within the Aerospace Research Centre. The Research Council Officer would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

**Screening Criteria**:
**Education**:
Master’s degree in human factors, psychology, systems engineering, neuroscience, statistics, human computer interaction, data science, computer science, computer engineering, industrial engineering, systems design engineering. A Bachelor’s degree in a similar field with relevant experience may also be considered.

**Experience**:

- Significant and recent experience with Matlab and/or Python for customized data analysis and data visualization;
- Significant and recent experience using advanced statistical analysis techniques;
- Experience writing technical documentation such as experimental procedures, client reports, and technical papers;
- Basic experience in physiological, biomechanical, and/or anthropometric measurements is an **asset**;
- Basic experience with numerical modeling using suitable software and simulation techniques is an **asset**; and
- Experience in design and administration of surveys and/or questionnaires is an **asset**.

**Condition of Employment**:

- Secret (II). A Secret clearance must be obtained within 12 months of employment; and
- You must be able to travel occasionally.

**Technical Competencies**:

- Solid knowledge in using Matlab and/or Python programming tools, analyzing data, and generating plots;
- Solid knowledge in statistics and with statistical software packages such as R, SPSS, etc;
- Intermediate abilities doing video-based analysis and interpretation of data is an asset.
