We are looking for a Project Management Coordinator to support our Construction Research Centre. The Project Management Coordinator would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
NRC Construction is active in the innovation of buildings — residential, commercial and institutional — as well as in civil engineering infrastructure. In collaboration with stakeholders and clients, we support the industry by developing and validating cost-effective technologies and solutions, developing and deploying national model building codes and regulations, and providing evaluations for new products and market access services.

The Project Management Coordinator supports Project Management activities, and develops and maintains project plans using SAP Project Systems (SAP-PS). In collaboration with Project Managers, he or she implements project plans, changes to those plans via the change approval process, monitors project data quality and resolves any identified problems. He or she also generates complex reports for performance management, and must understand issues and propose solutions to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget. The incumbent provides recommendations for the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.

**Education**:
College diploma including project management courses.

A combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.

**Experience**:

- Experience in supporting project management (gathering information and updating project data, maintaining project forms, templates and tools, producing project reports, supporting 2 or more project managers concurrently).
- Significant experience using MS Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in supporting project management in a research and development environment would be an asset.
- Experience using SAP Project Systems would be an asset.

- Knowledge of project management theory and practices.
- Sound knowledge of operational and financial management within a large organization preferably within a Canadian federal government context.
- Ability to read and interpret project and financial data.
- Knowledge of SAP Project Systems and its integration with other parts of the SAP system.
- Ability to give presentations and provide coaching and training to colleagues in various aspects of project management.
- Ability to implement new processes, methods, or practices that significantly improve project management.

**Relocation**:
Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

**Compensation**:
From $60,143 to $70,963 per annum.

In addition, the incumbent who meets the language requirements will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
