Role and Responsibilities
- Provide support to General Affairs and Facilities Manager
- Responsible for Samsung Vancouver’s general facilities management which includes vendor management, expenditures, procurement, contract management, security, reception and general office administration
- Responsible for the creation and documentation of standard operation procedures, using industry best practices
- Send out internal communications on behalf of General Affairs & Facilities
- Support facilities change needs i.e. furniture moves, space configuration, construction and renovation projects
- Supervise office security and reception, provide training and coaching
- Oversee general facilities inquiries including air quality, mechanical, equipment, janitorial and liaise with appropriate vendors
- Supervise maintenance of HVAC System
- Work with on-site Security to ensure Samsung security protocols are in place
- Maintain the Security access card system and CCTV system
- Manage company phone plans including mobile phones
- Provide guidance and mentorship to reception and security officers
- Sit on the the workplace Health & Safety Committee and make timely recommendations to ensure a safe work environment for all employees, contractors, visitors
- Champion for workplace safety and crisis planning, including coordinating emergency exit routines/drills
- Ensure proper accident investigation and reports to WorkSafeBC are completed
- Participate in security and facilities audits to ensure Samsung policy compliance
- Assist with arranging and set up of onsite events including coordinate catering, space reservations, guest check-in

Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration or a related field from a college or university
- Have 3+ years office administration experience with responsibility for the full range of facilities, property management, safety, and security functions
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- First Aid Certification would be an asset
- Project Management experience
- Procurement designation is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $62,050 to $80,300 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience.
