**What you’ll be doing**:

- Providing advice and recommendations for the development of the annual marketing strategy, to achieve the goal of increasing awareness and helping support Goodwill’s mission.
- Continuously investigating and assessing marketing and brand awareness opportunities for Goodwill that supports the objective of increasing engagement to support Goodwill’s mission.
- Supporting the development of community employment programs and services all over Alberta.
- Evaluating brand awareness of Goodwill’s mission and ensuring all items within Mission meet brand standards.
- Assisting in the creation of content for Goodwill’s Mission.
- Networking and building brand awareness in the Albertan community.
- Developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating all organizational events, focusing on an external audience, with a goal of increasing support/awareness for Mission programs.
- Representing the brand on-site at tradeshows, job fairs and donation drives as required.
- Creating and writing brand awareness in the community via E-Newsletters.
- Creating media and grass roots connections within the disability community.
- Creating PR opportunities through local media via press release or networking.
- Acting as a Goodwill ambassador, ensure the delivery of professional and excellent customer service to all stakeholders and team members of Goodwill.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Degree or Diploma specializing in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Media.
- Knowledge of marketing best practices.
- 1-3 years previous experience in marketing, media relations and event planning.
- Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Intermediate to advanced skills using software like Canva/Adobe.
- Prior work in retail or social service industries would be considered an asset.
- Must pass a criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s license.
- Must have strong mastery of the English language and strong verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to lift 25-50 lbs. if working an event on-site.
- Strong writing and editing skills and demonstrated experience managing the production and distribution of a variety of communications materials.
- Ability to interact with the public and positively/effectively represent the organization and its mission within the community.
- Strong team player, demonstrating a positive work ethic.
- Proficiency and excellent understanding of word processing, Canva, social media/digital tools and audio/visual equipment, editing software as required.
- Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders based on respect, integrity, and trust.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to complete projects with little supervision.
- Excellent time and project management skills, to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to perform under stress and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and projects at the same time.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of organizational and time management skills.
- You prioritize safety in all tasks, ensuring the safety of self as well as fellow Team Members.
