**Medical Office Assistant at Care in the Creek Medical Centre**
Care in the Creek Medical Centre is a Family Practice clinic.
Our team includes physicians, a registered nurse, and medical office assistants
**_Key Duties_**
The key responsibility of this role includes but are not limited to the following and will be based on the needs of the clinic.
Book appointments in the schedule for physicians and registered nurse
Receive and process payments from patients for services
Maintain accurate patient records, verify demographics are up to date
Complete data entry in a timely and accurate manner
Prepare and enter patient registration forms for new patients
Greet patients in a timely and welcoming manner
Check patients into the EMR as they arrive
Room patients, record vitals and chaperone as needed
Respond to enquiries appropriately
Create invoices to mail for no-show appointments
Prepare 3rdparty invoices for patients
Project a positive image at all times being the first point of contact for the patient
Maintain the clinic cleanliness as needed
Attend staff meetings
Assist in other areas of the clinic as needed
**_Qualifications _**
- MOA certificate or equivalent work-related experience preferably a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Previous experience working with EMR system a definite asset
- Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Must have an understanding of ethics of confidentiality.

**_Salary:_**
- From $17.11 to $20.11 per hour
**_Schedule:_**
- Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
**_Experience: _**
- MOA: education or equivalent work-related experience preferably
